On Saturday, May 10, EEI Eliminators participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In addition to exceeding our financial goal (and raising more than in previous years!), we broke our participant record with 38 team members and 1 cheerleader. As the captain, I was moved by everyone’s commitment to the cause. Although I have done this walk before, the experience is always overwhelming. It makes me realize all of the things I take for granted.
Some of our team members shared their thoughts on the race as well:
“The race was very inspiring. There was a sea of dark pink shirts worn by the survivors. I was walking for my friend Emily. She will be joining the EEI Eliminators next year.” Kathy Dooley
“Great turnout. I thought it was amazing.” David Washington
“It was awesome. Great camaraderie! Everyone looks good in pink.” Suzette Herchig
“I was amazed at the number of people who participated in the walk. It was encouraging to see people commit their time and energy for the cause.” Antonio Scott
“My daughter and I had a blast at her first race.” Sheri Stewart
