Edwin R. (Tony) Anthony is Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Member Relations at EEI. In this role, he oversees a range of EEI activities, including strategic planning, member and associate services, and meeting and exposition services.

Additionally, he is EEI's Corporate Secretary with responsibility for its board and committees. Mr. Anthony has developed and expanded EEI’s international and associate membership and continues to support EEI’s International division.

Previously, he served as Director of Public Information for EEI and was responsible for the industry's media and public relations. Prior to joining EEI in 1983, Mr. Anthony was Director of Media Relations for the National Coal Association, now the National Mining Association, which represents the U.S. coal industry.

Mr. Anthony held various posts with Potomac Electric Power Company in Washington, D.C., including Manager of Media Relations, Manager of Employee Communications, and Editor. His prior work includes media and public information with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Mr. Anthony is a graduate of the College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. He has won professional awards for his work as a writer and editor. Tony and his wife, Julie, have four adult children.
