Ronald D. Clements is Managing Director of Governmental Affairs and Senior Director of Tax Policy for the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). In addition, he serves as the industry's chief spokesperson for tax and financial issues before Congress. He is also the chief industry liaison with the U.S. Department of Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service on numerous legislative and regulatory issues.

Mr. Clements serves as the principal business community liaison for the electric utility industry on all tax and finance-related legislative and regulatory issues. In addition, he acts as the principal liaison with the banking and securities industries on public policy issues.

Mr. Clements has served in numerous leadership positions in the American Bar Association (ABA), where he has spoken frequently. He formed and organized the Utility Diversification group within the Regulated Public Utilities Committee of the Taxation Section, where he has acted as the electric utility industry representative on numerous occasions on taxation and finance-related industry issues.

Mr. Clements received a BS in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech and a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law. He is a member of the Bar in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
