 Brian V. McCormack 

Brian V. McCormack joined Edison Electric Institute in January 2011 as Vice President for Political and External Affairs.

With more than 15 years of experience serving at various levels of government, Mr. McCormack understands the importance of stakeholder relationships and their relevance  to the success of any policy initiative.  He has worked with senior leaders in government, business, nonprofits, and trade associations on a broad spectrum of issues, including economic development, defense and foreign policy, energy diversification and development, climate and environment, taxes and regulations, international trade, and homeland security and immigration.

Mr. McCormack worked in a number of capacities during the George W. Bush administration, including as the Personal Aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, Special Assistant to Ambassador L. Paul Bremer in Baghdad, Special Assistant at Department of Defense in the office of Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, and  Deputy Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr. McCormack moved West and attended the New Mexico Military Institute and Boise State University.
