EEI's Emergency Response Awards recognize member companies that put forth
outstanding efforts to restore service promptly to the public following a storm
or natural disaster.
The awards are announced in two categories:
Emergency Recovery Award (for companies directly impacted) and Emergency
Assistance Award (for companies that come to the aid of another company).
Nominations will be due in December 2013, for recognition of accomplishments occurring from December 2012 through December 2013. All EEI member utility companies and U.S. or international affiliates are eligible and may nominate themselves or any other EEI member. The 2013 awards will be announced at EEI’s Spring Board and Chief Executive Meetings in March 2014.
Nomination forms are now available for download:
The nomination form(s) must be:
- Approved by the CEO of an EEI member company;
- Accompanied by the required questionnaire and optional background materials; and
- Received by the EXTENDED deadline, December 31, 2013.
Selections will be based on a company’s ability to respond to a crisis
swiftly and efficiently, overcome difficult circumstances, utilize unique or
innovative recovery techniques, communicate effectively with customers, and
restore service promptly.
