Mary D. Miller

Mary Miller is the Chief Administrative Officer at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the association of investor-owned electric companies whose members generate and distribute approximately three-quarters of the Nation's electricity. In addition, EEI has a growing affiliate membership of utilities worldwide. Ms. Miller joined EEI in March 2005.

She also serves as the President of the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD), a non-profit consortium of electric, natural gas and nuclear utilities and their associations - Edison Electric Institute, American Gas Association, Nuclear Energy Institute, and National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. CEWD was formed to help utilities work together to develop solutions to the expected workforce shortage in the utility industry.

Prior to joining EEI, Ms. Miller was Vice President of Human Resources for the American Gas Association (AGA). She also was the special assistant to the CEO. From 1978 to 1983, Ms. Miller held several positions with the Georgetown Employment Service. Her experience also includes working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Ms. Miller holds an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a BA from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania. Ms. Miller currently serves on the Corporate Advisory Board of So Others Might Eat (SOME) and the Board of Directors for the National Energy Foundation.
