  • Please join us at the EEI Law Cybersecurity Conference on October 14, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina!
    At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to network and engage with industry colleagues and subject matter experts on a number of critical and current cybersecurity law issues.

    Please come to this meeting to:

    • Discuss developments under the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act (SAFETY Act), which is designed to protect an entity from liability following a terrorist event, and the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA), which was passed to improve cybersecurity in the United States through enhanced sharing of information about cybersecurity threats, and for other purposes)
    • Engage with representatives from the FBI on the agency's efforts to work with companies to fight cybercrime on a local and national scale.
    • Learn about the current state of ransomeware, a cyber-attack in which covertly installed malware encrypts the victim's files and then requests a ransom payment in return for decryption of the files.
    Built into the agenda are blocks of time for roundtable discussion.
    Please come prepared to share your experiences and questions in this live, face-to-face environment.
