  • The Accounting Leadership Conference is the premier annual conference of EEI and AGA Chief Accounting Officers.  It focuses on the accounting, finance, business, and leadership issues facing today’s energy accounting/finance executives.  The program consistently features top speakers, such as FASB Board Members and/or staff and accounting staff of the FERC, as well as leaders from international accounting firms.  We will also hear industry insights of key executives from both EEI and AGA in addition to select speakers on business, management, and other topics beyond accounting and auditing.

    The Chief Audit Executives Conference is the premier annual conference of the EEI and AGA Chief Audit Executives.  It focuses on audit, finance, business, and leadership issues facing today's Chief Audit Executives.  The agenda includes joint sessions with the Chief Accounting Officers as well as ample time for breakout sessions specific to the Chief Audit Executives.  The program consistently features top speakers from the Corporate Executive Board, international accounting firms, and Chief Audit Executives of EEI/AGA member companies.

    These 2016 conferences at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, are an outstanding opportunity to network with top accounting, finance and auditing leaders from the industry. In addition to the formal conference sessions, there will be ample opportunity to interact with industry leaders on an informal basis.  Please be sure to register you and your guests for the Monday evening reception and dinner at the Biltmore Estate and our Tuesday afternoon golf scramble at the Grove Park Inn's on-site course.

    The Accounting Leadership Conference is open to EEI/AGA full Members, Associate Members and Non-Members;  The Chief Audit Executives Conference is open only to full members. Typical participants attending these meetings include CFOs, Chief Accounting Officers/Controllers, Chief Audit Executives, middle or upper accounting and auditing management, financial planning managers, and other accounting/auditing/finance managers. Attendees represent all regions across the United States and include a variety of business models encompassing fully integrated regulated utilities, multi-entity holding companies, and diversified energy operations.

    Guest room rate is $289 plus taxes for single/double occupancy valid three days before and after our conference dates, subject to availability and applicable state and local taxes (currently 11%). There will be a charge of $40.00 each for third and fourth persons (18 years of age and older) sharing a room.

    The conference room block will be released Friday, May 27, 2016. Reservations after this date are subject to availability at the existing hotel rate.  You are encouraged to reserve your room as soon as possible since the hotel expects to be sold out on some of the days of the conference and the hotel has advised us that we will not be able to add rooms to our room block.

    The Omni Grove Park Inn is near the crossroads of Interstates 40 and 26, just 1.5 miles from downtown Asheville, and about 17 miles from Asheville Regional Airport.  The Asheville Regional airport has limited flights with premium airfare.

    An alternative airport is Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) which is about a 2 hour drive to the Omni Grove Park Inn.  CLT offers more flights and lower airfares as compared to the Asheville Regional Airport.

    Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 2 hours away from the Omni at Grove Park Inn. Taxi service is available curbside, on the Baggage Claim level. An attendant is on duty from 6:45 a.m.-12:15 a.m. All of the major car rental services are available at the airport.
