Timelines for the Energy Policy Act of 2005

These timelines identify milestone activities required by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 that are likely to be relevant to the Edison Electric Institute and its member companies. 

The timelines can be viewed in several ways.  There are two master timelines: one master is organized by title, the other by time period.  In addition, timelines for individual titles, agencies and issues are provided on a stand alone basis.  The stand alone timelines can be accessed within the masters via “Hot Buttons” or accessed directly from this page.

Please note that the timelines are not inclusive of all provisions in the Energy Policy Act of 2005.  Some items that were identified as not relating to electric utilities were excluded.
