Customer Storm Assistance

The 2005 hurricane season saw more widespread damage to the gulf coast than ever before. It also brought on the largest national electric utility restoration effort launched to date.  During those times utility crews worked day and night to restore power. As supplies grew thin some national commercial customers actually aided in supplying utility crews through their distribution networks. Food, water, shelters, and other critical supplies were offered up by national account customers and suppliers.

The EEI National Accounts Program is playing its part by compiling a list of customer and supplier offerings to utility crews.

To offer resources and supplies send a copy of your contact information and offerings to Steve Kiesner at skiesner@eei.org and it will be placed online and sent to crews in the field.
