Creating the Workforce of the FutureAmerica’s top priority is to create more jobs, said Susan Story in introductory remarks at a recent policy summit to nearly 150 leaders from businesses, think tanks, federal and state governments, nonprofits, and academia. “Many U.S. companies, including those in the energy industry, are actively creating programs and partnerships that enable a diverse population of potential employees to get the necessary skills they need to successfully compete for good jobs,” continued the president and CEO of Southern Company Services. “We’re providing numerous opportunities for people to gain the skills and training necessary to be part of the workforce of the future.”
