Hollywood, Florida is served by two local airports – Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is only fifteen minutes north and Miami International Airport is thirty minutes south. Providing service to dozens of domestic and international destinations, twenty-five airlines operate out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and all the major carriers operate out of Miami International Airport.
Taxi fare from the Fort Lauderdale airport to the Westin Diplomat will be approximately $25.00 one way, while fare from the Miami airport will be approximately $60.00 one way. Both airports offer Go Shuttle service which will transport you directly to the hotel, in a shuttle or private car. For $13.00 per person, the shuttle service is available at the Fort Lauderdale airport (contact number 954-561-8888), and for $26.00 per person the shuttle service is available at the Miami airport (contact number 305-871-2000). Valet parking is $22.00 per day plus tax and self parking is $17.00 per day plus tax.

Dress Code
The dress code for all Convention/ Expo activities is casual – golf shirts and slacks for men; casual dresses, slacks and capris for women.
Weather
Keep in mind the weather in South Florida when packing. Temperatures in June generally range between the mid-70s°F to high-80s°F, with occasional afternoon rain showers. Layers are recommended, particularly for those “air conditioned” meeting rooms. Take advantage of the beachside location and pack your bathing suit and sunscreen.
Westin Diplomat
With the location of a beach resort and the proximity of a city hotel, the Westin Diplomat offers the best of both worlds. Minutes From Miami
Downtown Miami is only a thirty minute drive from Hollywood, and has plenty of attractions for a daytime visit. The Miami Art Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art both feature modern art, as the former focuses on international art from the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Historical Museum of South Florida provides history of the Cuban Americans and Seminole tribes local to the area. Walking heritage tours are available through the Little Havana section of the city. First-time visitors may also want to spend time walking through the famed South Beach area with its Art Deco architecture.
