Meet the industry’s key decision-makers—and your best customers

This year, CEOs and their senior-level management from companies large and small in power generation, transmission, distribution, and marketing will gather in Toronto, ON, Canada for the 2008 EEI Annual Convention/Expo. And that gives you an unsurpassed opportunity to communicate with the most influential leaders in the electric power industry at their most important meeting of the year.

When you exhibit and sponsor at EXPO 2008, you reach an audience with strategic responsibilities, whose decisions shape the future of the whole industry. It’s your chance to show them how your products and services can have an impact on this year’s bottom line—and be a part of company strategy into the future. Whether you build power plants or operate call centers, provide strategic consulting or install software systems, streamline financial decision-making or offer the latest transmission system technologies…

At EXPO 2008, your prospects are looking for a wide variety of products and services—from the latest-and-greatest to the tried-and-true—and they have the authority to buy. If you serve the electric industry, then this is where you need to be in 2008.

Your company is an ideal exhibitor if you offer:

  • Financial management, credit, and collection resources
  • Consulting, engineering, architectural, and marketing services
  • Equipment and systems for power generation and distribution
  • Information technology—software and hardware
  • Management and strategic consulting services
  • Technology to improve customer service
  • Environmental systems and services
  • End-use products
  • Equipment for metering and field services
  • Turnkey plant design and construction projects
  • Training and education
  • Telecommunications technology
  • Legal services

GET THE MOST OUT OF EXPO 2008

EXPO 2008 puts your products, services, and message in the best light—and keeps electric industry executives and managers in the EXPO hall and around your booth!

GREAT TRAFFIC BUILDERS

  • The Welcome Reception on Sunday opens up EXPO 2008 with excellent food and refreshments strategically located to increase traffic flow.
  • The addition of Networking Coffee Breaks to "energize" your audience.
  • Luncheons on Monday and Tuesday come at the height of the conference.
  • Monday’s Networking Ice Cream Social promises you one-on-one interaction with a host of new contacts.
  • Several raffle drawings for fabulous prizes are held daily in the hall.
  • The return of the Center Stage format—with entertainment and music—provides a lively attraction to draw conference goers into the hall.

CONFERENCE AND EXPO PROMOTION

What makes a great show? More attendees at the conference—and more customers and prospects at your booth. You benefit from:

  • Aggressive marketing of the conference and EXPO through the Convention Web Site.
  • Promotional campaigns to domestic and international electric industry representatives.
  • Advertisements in the industry’s leading trade publications.
  • Continuous promotion during the conference.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR PROMOTIONAL DOLLARS

  • Choose from a variety of ideas to enhance your visibility.
  • Be a part of the many one-on-one networking opportunities at the Grand Event.

You have so many ways to reach this influential audience!

POWERING YOUR SALES

EXPO 2008 ensures that your products and services remain top-of-mind with decision-makers. When you reserve your exhibit space, here’s what you’ll receive:

BOOTH SET-UP

  • 8’ high background drape
  • 3’ high side rail drapes
  • Exhibitor identification sign

GUEST PASSES FOR CLIENT VISITORS

Make a direct invitation to clients to visit your company’s booth. This is a great one-on-one marketing tool. (These passes are intended for existing or potential clients only and may not be used by exhibiting company personnel. EEI retains the right to refuse admission to unqualified invitees.)

MAILING LISTS

Promote your presence at EXPO 2008 with pre- and post-show attendee lists via e-mail. You get attendee name, title, company name and address to help you in your promotional efforts both before and after the show.

LISTING IN THE EXHIBITOR DIRECTORY

It’s the key reference book for attendees. Your company name, marketing contact, telephone number, product description, booth number and company web site address are in the Directory, showing attendees how to get to your booth—and keeping information on your products and services at their fingertips when they get home.

HOTLINK TO YOUR WEB SITE

Steer prospects directly to your company’s wares with a link on EEI’s Convention web site.

COMPLIMENTARY REGISTRATION BADGES

For each 10’ x 10’ booth rental, exhibiting companies receive two complimentary badges for exhibitor personnel—a $2,900 value—to staff their booths. With these badges, you can attend all the EXPO events plus the General Sessions, Critical Issues Forums, and the Grand Event. Complimentary badges are contingent on reserving hotel rooms under the official EEI block at the headquarters hotel. Additional exhibitor personnel badges may be purchased at the reduced member company registration fee. A $400 surcharge will apply to every badge if staying outside the official EEI hotel room block.

Increase your impact dramatically with a larger space. You’ll have more room for product displays and one-on-one meetings. Each booth you occupy entitles your company to have two more people attend the Convention. A limited number of island spaces—with aisle exposure on all four sides—are available. We’ll also be glad to discuss any combination of booth spaces that may meet your needs.

BUILD MORE TRAFFIC TO YOUR BOOTH

Maximize the impact of your sponsorship with Electric Perspectives, the official magazine of the 2008 EEI Annual Convention/Expo. With your ad, you get:

  • Magazine distribution in every attendee registration packet
  • FREE listing (with logo and company description) in EP’s print “Supplier Directory,” published in the Convention issue
  • Bonus distribution at other EEI conferences
  • Electronic media support, logos on signage and in program book…and the chance to help EP celebrate 30 years at a special Convention event!

Build the right exhibit/sponsorship/advertising package and create the strongest message at the conference with the top players in shareholder-owned electric utilities. To discuss the opportunities, contact William Mambert, Advertising Sales, 703/340-1608 (mambert@verizon.net)
