2012 Sep Board and Chief Executives Meeting
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - Friday, September 14, 2012
The Broadmoor
1 Lake Ave Colorado Springs, CO 80906 UNITED STATES
An exciting agenda is in store for you at the EEI Fall Board and Chief Executive Meetings, September 12-14, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, and we encourage you to attend. With the political season in full swing, we are fortunate to have confirmed two top political strategists for a special breakfast presentation on Thursday, September 13: former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour will join Robert Gibbs, President Obama’s first press secretary, for a spirited bipartisan preview of the November Presidential contest.

At lunch on September 13, we will get a first-hand glimpse of the major fiscal challenges our country faces when we hear from former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson, who co-chaired the U.S. deficit reduction panel with Erskine Bowles.

Following ancillary meetings that begin on Wednesday afternoon, September 12, our fall meeting kicks off that evening with a welcome reception and dinner at the Cheyenne Lodge, featuring the sounds of Alizma -- identical triplet sisters whose enchanting music fuses classical music and pop by introducing elements of classical violin. You won’t want to miss it.
Board meeting segments will take place all day Thursday and Friday morning; we will conclude by 11 a.m. on Friday to allow time for afternoon departures or recreation.

Guest Program/Golf/Dress Code

A guest breakfast is planned for Thursday morning.  In addition to the Thursday breakfast, we will offer a history tour of The Broadmoor beginning at 10:45 a.m.  Guests are also encouraged to attend the reception and dinner on Wednesday evening at the Cheyenne Lodge, as well as the reception on Thursday evening at The Broadmoor.  As usual, a buffet lunch will be available for members and guests on Friday immediately following the Board meeting.  Guests are encouraged to attend the evening events as well as the two conference lunches.  Information on the guest program can be found under the meeting documents tab.

On Friday afternoon, golfers may schedule individual tee times after 12:30 p.m. on the East Course. Please contact Christy Trabandt - (202) 508-5052 to reserve your tee time.

Business casual attire is appropriate for all meetings and evening functions.
