Midwestern Regional Safety Benchmarking Seminar

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet face-to-face with other electric utility representatives to benchmark and establish industry best practices. Benchmarking is the foundation for improving your safety and health program and EEI is the focal point for that effort. These regional programs will:

  • enable you to establish company benchmarks consistent with the top performers in the industry
  • provide information from other top performers for making and sustaining improvements in your safety and health program
  • provide the tools needed to implement best practices in your safety and health program which will have the greatest potential for reducing accidents and saving money

Purpose

The seminar will report on the current state of utility industry safety benchmarking efforts. It will provide an analysis of the EEI Safety Surveys and identify new tools being developed to assist members with benchmarking. A leading performer from the most recent safety survey will discuss their benchmarking program. Afterwards, participants will be engaged in roundtable activities focused on critical benchmarking and best practice issues. Topics will be determined by participant materials submitted for that regional program. Additional input and guidance for the roundtable discussions will be provided by the presenters based on EEI membership-wide or special member group studies.

The program is a must for safety professionals interested in improving their safety and health program. Anyone who plays a role in establishing or implementing safety practices should attend.  Both corporate and site safety professionals who have any responsibility for setting and/or meeting corporate safety and goals will benefit from this program.
