With information technology and data storage centers seeing their electricity use expand 20-30 percent each year, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Xcel Energy has developed an energy-efficiency program to help its business customers get more value from their IT energy costs. 

Xcel Energy’s Data Center Efficiency program will help to fund an energy audit to determine what steps a business needs to take to lower its IT energy costs, and then Xcel Energy will provide cash rebates along with additional incentives to help the business put the recommended changes into place.
