In EEI's annual "state of the industry" presentation to the Wall Street community on February 9, EEI executives outlined the challenges and opportunities facing the electric utility sector in 2011 and beyond.

EEI's Executive Vice President David Owens, Senior Vice President Brian Wolff, and Vice Presidents Richard McMahon and Quin Shea, previewed a wide range of issues facing the industry, including: upcoming new environmental regulations, industry engagement in the development of rules to implement financial reform, the challenge in building new transmission, and the significant promise of electric transportation and the smart grid.

The EEI leaders also explored the broader regulatory and legislative environment, including changes unfolding in the new Congress.
