EEI represents shareholder-owned electric companies on industry finance and accounting issues, promoting sound business practices and regulatory policies.

EEI is leading efforts to ensure the financial well-being of the U.S. shareholder-owned electric utilities and its investors, as well as representing the best interests of utility customers.

In their annual "State of the Industry" speech before the Wall Street financial community, EEI President Tom Kuhn and Executive Vice President David K. Owens spoke about the many challenges facing the electric power industry, including climate change, modernizing and safeguarding the electric grid and financial issues.
