Brian L. Wolff Promoted to Executive Vice President, Public Policy and External Affairs
​Washington, DC (June 11, 2014) – Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI’s) Board of Directors yesterday approved the promotion of Brian L. Wolff from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President, Public Policy and External Affairs.

Wolff directs the Institute’s government relations, political and external affairs, and communications activities. He will continue to serve as part of EEI’s senior leadership team with President Tom Kuhn and Executive Vice President of Business Operations and Regulatory Affairs David Owens, who is EEI’s second highest-ranking executive.

“Brian plays a critical role in strengthening the issue management process and advocacy efforts of EEI to meet the growing opportunities and challenges facing the electric power industry,” said Kuhn. “His strategic thinking, creative approach, and political acumen help to shape many of EEI’s advocacy successes and issue campaigns.”

Wolff was named one of CEO Update’s Top Lobbyists of 2013 and Association TRENDS 2013 Lobbyist of the Year. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Public Affairs Institute Board of Directors. Wolff serves as a member of the Ambassadors Ball Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and on the boards of the Capitol Area REACH program and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Institute, where he serves on the Executive Board of the Institute.

The announcement was made during EEI’s annual convention in Las Vegas.
