EEI Board Adopts Resolution Recognizing the Contributions of Retired IBEW International President Edwin D. Hill
NEW ORLEANS (June 9, 2015) The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Board of Directors today adopted a resolution recognizing the significant contributions of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) International President Edwin D. Hill, who retired earlier this month after 14 years in his role. Hill worked side-by-side with the electric power industry on major issues ranging from workforce development to environmental policy to workforce safety standards.

“On behalf of EEI’s member companies, I would like to thank Ed for his service and leadership throughout his nearly 60 years with IBEW, and especially during his last 14 years as International President,” said EEI President Tom Kuhn. “Ed was a champion for safe, reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean electricity. Through his great work, incredible strides have been made in energy policy and operations that continue to have a real impact on jobs and people’s lives.”
