  • Electric utility officers and directors in information technology, information security, SCADA/EMS operations, and emergency preparedness and planning interested in participating on the Task Force.


    Participants will share existing cyber mutual assistance approaches, define the scope of an industry-wide program, discuss potential approaches to implementing an industry-wide program, and develop action items.  Task Force progress and next steps will be presented at the next ESCC meeting.

  • Proposed approaches for the Task Force to consider in February may include:


    1. External resources for a) analysis assistance during an incident and b) business network perimeter defense assistance during an incident to allow internal utility resources to focus on defending and/or repairing more sensitive/complicated network architectures (e.g., OT environment).


    2. Spare equipment programs for replacement of IT and OT information and communications technology.


    3. Training programs for external and internal resources to provide additional assistance during a cyber incident
