Cybersecurity Law Group WebEx: DHS Technical Assistance
Monday, September 24, 2018 - Monday, September 24, 2018
Edison Electric Institute
701 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Washington, DC 20004-2696 UNITED STATES
  • Dear Members,

Join us on Monday, September 24, at 1pm Eastern, for a WebEx conference call led by William Walsh (Assistant General Counsel, Southern California Edison). We will review and discuss the Department of Homeland Security ("DHS") Standing Request for Technical Assistance ("RTA").

In order to obtain technical assistance in response to a cyber incident, DHS requires private companies to send a signed RTA to DHS. Instead of using DHS' standard RTA, however, members of the electric sector negotiated with DHS to update the RTA for use with our sector. Our webinar will explain the differences between DHS' standard RTA and the updated RTA developed for the electricity sector. We will also explain the process for submitting a "standing" RTA with DHS. Finally, we will have a Q&A session.
