Transatlantic Dialogue on Cybersecurity Preparedness
Thursday, December 06, 2018 - Thursday, December 06, 2018
Edison Electric Institute
701 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Washington, DC 20004-2696 UNITED STATES
  • Date: December 6, 2018

Location: Victoria House, One Drummond Gate, London, United Kingdom

Background: The power sector is rapidly becoming more complex and more digital, and as operating technologies have evolved, so too have the cyber threats that electric power companies face in securing the modern grid. In North America, electric companies have responded by establishing voluntary information sharing activities through programs including the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council (ESCC) and Cyber Mutual Assistance (CMA) Program. Such dialogues can play an important role in assisting electric power companies in establishing and maintaining best-in-class cybersecurity measures and operational practices. Accordingly, UK Power Networks and the Edison Electric Institute are convening a one-day dialogue event for leading European and North American companies to share recent experiences and lessons learned in cybersecurity preparedness and strategy.

Expected Attendance: Representatives from 15-20 transmission and distribution network operators in North America and Europe, including Vice Presidents, C-suite Officers, or other Senior Executives responsible for electric company cybersecurity, information security, information technology, risk management and related areas.

Format: Each session will be led by 2-3 company participants who will present their thoughts and relevant company practices, after which the discussion will be opened to all participants.
