Description: The past several years have seen a marked increase in environmental, social and governance (ESG) related disclosure and divestment activity.  Investors have undertaken a variety of disclosure and divestment initiatives (many of them politically motivated) that potentially impact the cost of capital and access to capital markets for utilities. Shareholder activism has become well established in Europe, and has become increasingly popular across most US industries in the last several years.  Most recently, it has manifested itself in the form of ESG-related proposals.  There are also an increasing number of ESG reporting initiatives with many differing objectives and perspectives.  This webinar will present an overview of ESG-related activity and highlight an EEI-led initiative to help member companies address investor needs in a meaningful way.
