EEI-AGA Spring Accounting Virtual Conference

  • The 2021 EEI/AGA Spring Accounting Conference will be virtual due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.  All times for the webcasts are eastern time.  Joint Sessions with topics of interest to all the accounting and budgeting disciplines are scheduled for May 20-21, 2021. Breakout Sessions are planned for May 24-26, 2021 where the different accounting and budget disciplines will discuss topics of interest to their respective discipline. The specific dates for breakout sessions are provided on the preliminary agendas available under Meeting Documents  Both Joint and Breakout sessions will be limited to 4-5 hours per day with breaks between each presentation to minimize screen fatigue.

    The Spring Accounting Conference is hosted by the EEI Accounting Standards, Corporate Accounting, Property Accounting & Valuation, and Budgeting & Financial Forecasting Committees and the AGA Accounting Services Committee. This joint EEI/AGA conference provides a forum for members to discuss current issues in the electric utility and natural gas industries and an opportunity for professional development. Industry professionals and leaders in the field of utility accounting and finance will speak on topics selected by the Committee Leaders for their valuable content.
    The conference is open to any employee of an EEI or AGA member or associate member company and is not limited to committee members. Typical attendees include staff, middle, and upper accounting management involved in technical accounting, financial reporting, general accounting, property accounting, depreciation accounting, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
    Since the conference is virtual, during registration, attendees are required to select a track: Accounting Standards, Budget & Financial Forecasting, Corporate Accounting, or Property Accounting.  Moving between tracks cannot be accommodated since the breakout sessions are separate webcasts. 

    The conference qualifies for CPE credits based on the sessions attended – see the CPE Notice under Meeting Documents.

    Roundtable Questions
    At the Conference, there will be Roundtable Discussions in the breakout sessions. The Roundtable Discussions are open forums that allow Conference attendees to obtain valuable responses and input from their peers. Please take advantage of this extremely beneficial opportunity as the Roundtable Discussions are always one of the highest rated sessions of the Conference.

    Closer to the conference dates, the Roundtable Question directions will be sent to the committee members and registered attendees.

    The registration fee for EEI/AGA members and associate members is $350 per person for the first four individuals from the same company.  For more than four individuals from the same company, a group discount of $150 per person applies (registration fee after the group discount is $200 per person).  The group discount will be refunded after the conference.

    The EEI registration system requires payment using a credit card.  The group discounts will be refunded to the same credit card used during registration.

    Registrations can be cancelled until May 12, 2021 with a refund of the registration fee, minus a $100 administrative fee, by contacting Kim King at or (202) 468-6424.  After May 12, 2021, there are no refunds but substitutions are welcome.  Please contact Kim King regarding any substitutions.
