  • We have a very full and stimulating agenda for you in store for our upcoming Winter CEO & Board of Directors meeting. I am pleased to confirm a number of impressive outside speakers, including FERC Commissioner Cheryl LaFleur, Acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, NARUC President Nick Wagner, and the new chairman and CEO of General Electric, Larry Culp. As a special treat for our lunch program on January 9, we will hear from Jon Meacham, the celebrated author whose most recent book is The Soul of America: The Battle for our Better Angels. Last week, Jon gave a eulogy for the late President George H.W. Bush, who also was the subject of one his critically acclaimed biographies. Of course, we also will examine all of the major issues impacting our industry in 2019 and beyond, including customer centricity, fleet electrification, energy storage, grid security and environment and natural resources issues.

    Dress Code for the meeting is business casual.

Dinner reservations can be made online.

    The National Croquet Center
    10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

    The National Croquet Center is the largest dedicated croquet center in the world and was designed for elite players to compete in this exclusive sport. Your experience at this prestigious private club will begin with personalized instruction and play while sipping wine and sampling gourmet hors d’oeuvres. Upon completion of your game, you will enjoy a traditional Palm Beach inspired lunch on the veranda overlooking the expansive lawns. 

    **Flat-soled shoes are required for all lawn play. Whites are required only for members but encouraged for everyone. Dress code is elegant casual.**

    Excursion to Worth Avenue
    2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

    Following lunch you can either return to the Breakers or take the shuttle to Worth Avenue.  More than 200 specialty shops, galleries and restaurants offer exceptional merchandise and gourmet cuisine. Some of the shops include Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Gucci, Chanel and Saks Fifth Avenue. A shuttle will return to a designated location at 3:30 p.m. to take you back to the hotel or you can return on your own.
