EEI Board of Directors Approves Promotions of Staff Focused on Critical Industry Issues
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (January 10, 2018) — The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) today announced the promotions of three long-time employees in recognition of their leadership and contributions to EEI and the industry across several fronts, including business security and preparedness, communications, and customer solutions. The promotions were approved by EEI’s Board of Directors during the Institute’s winter meeting in Scottsdale and are effective immediately.

EEI’s Board approved the promotions of:

  • Scott Aaronson to vice president, security and preparedness. Aaronson joined EEI in 2009 in the government relations department focusing on security and technology issues, and most recently served as executive director of security and business continuity. Aaronson leads the EEI teams focused on cyber and physical security, storm response and recovery, and associated regulatory policy. He also serves as the secretary for the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council, which brings together senior industry and government executives to work on issues related to critical infrastructure protection. Aaronson will continue to report to Phil Moeller, EEI Executive Vice President of the Business Operations Group and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Stephanie Voyda to vice president, communications. Voyda joined EEI in 1997 and has held various positions of increased responsibility within the communications department, most recently serving as executive director of communications. Voyda directs EEI’s communications team, with responsibility for advertising, public policy communications, executive communications, creative strategy and design, Electric Perspectives magazine, earned media, stakeholder and strategic communications, research, social media and digital strategy, and EEI’s website. Voyda will continue to report to Brian Wolff, EEI Executive Vice President of Public Policy and External Affairs.
  •  Lisa Wood to vice president, customer solutions. Wood has served as the executive director of the Institute for Electric Innovation (IEI) and vice president of the Edison Foundation since 2008. In her new role, Wood also will lead EEI’s customers solutions practice focused on issues such as transportation electrification, smart cities, individualized customer solutions, and partnerships with key constituents, including national key accounts, military, and corporate customers. Wood will retain her oversight of IEI and the Edison Foundation, and will continue to report to Brian Wolff.
“I am pleased to announce the promotions of Scott, Stephanie, and Lisa,” said EEI President Tom Kuhn. “Each manages critical portfolios for EEI and is a major contributor to our overall success. Our industry is in the midst of a profound transformation, and they will continue to play an important role in advancing EEI’s strategic and policy goals. I look forward to their continued leadership and service on behalf of EEI’s member companies and the customers they serve.”
