To participate in EEI’s DEI initiative, member companies must commit to implement at least three recommended actions that support our industry goals. The industry goals are:
- Ensure that DEI efforts are driven from the top.
- Remove barriers to entry by expanding and broadening the pool of diverse candidates.
- Establish stronger community connections.
- Establish infrastructure academies and training programs.
As of June 2021, the initiative has 100-percent participation, and member companies, on average, are implementing five actions to meet their DEI commitment.
